Kammerer round thread screws are sliding screws for special applications. We offer round thread screws according to DIN 405 that have a lower edge overlap than the trapezoidal thread screws but are resistant to dirt and can absorb very large forces. The rounded thread profile virtually eliminates any notch effect. Although round thread screws are rarely used for drives, customers sometimes request this profile type.
A round thread has a different profile shape in the nut. Its pitch is given in inches. A typical designation would be Rd 20x1/8"?: a round thread with nominal diameter 20 mm and a pitch of 1/8 inches = 3.175mm.
