Central Component for Precision and Efficiency

BALL DRIVE - SPINDLE

Kammerer ball screws impress with their exceptional precision, high efficiency, and long-lasting reliability. Thanks to application-specific design and modern manufacturing, they can be efficiently integrated into existing machine concepts and meet even the most demanding requirements.

Ball screw: The heart of modern drive technology

The ball screw forms the core of precise linear motion in modern machines. Whether in automation, machine tool construction, or precision systems, it transmits motion with high accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. With its combination of force, smooth running, and repeatability, it opens up new possibilities for innovative machine concepts.

Innovation meets precision

Our ball screw spindles are manufactured from specially heat-treated steel grades and machined using state-of-the-art processes such as grinding, whirling, or rolling. Ground versions achieve the highest precision for machine tools, while whirled and rolled spindles provide a cost-effective solution for robust applications. Upon request, we also produce hollow spindles for reduced weight or integrated media channels.

Custom-designed spindle ends for every application

Whether keyway, thread, flat drive, or special contour: the screw ends are precisely adapted to your requirements. This results in compact, low-maintenance connections with high transition stiffness and minimal installation space.

Nut types

  • Einfachmutter
    Simple nut
A single nut is mounted to the machine component and converts the rotation of the screw into linear motion.
    View simple nuts
  • Doppelmutter
    Double Nut
A double nut with two mutually preloaded nut bodies provides high precision and backlash-free operation.
    View double nuts
  • Mittelflanschmutter
    Center flange nut
The central flange position transmits the force symmetrically, reduces stresses, and increases rigidity as well as positioning accuracy.

  • Einschraubmutter
    Screw-in Nut
The screw-in nut enables simple mounting and, with zero backlash or preload, ensures high rigidity and precise positioning.

  • Schwerlastmutter
    Heavy-duty nut
Our Hercules series offers high power density thanks to an optimized ball-to-lead ratio and FEM-verified raceway geometry.

  • Einfachflanschmutter
    Single flange nut
A single flange nut offers high rigidity and precision thanks to its flange and four-point contact.

  • Doppelflanschmutter
    Double Flange Nut
A double flange nut consists of two preloaded nuts arranged against each other, with the flange distributing the load evenly over the mounting surface.

Technological advantage through intelligent design

Through targeted case hardening, optimized surface finishes, and application-specific cross-sections, our ball screw spindles provide maximum service life, reduced friction, and high natural frequencies even at high speeds and loads.

Durable, fast, long-lasting

Whether high rotational speeds, axial loads, or compact installation spaces: by calculating the critical speed, buckling load, and suitable preload levels, we design each ball screw spindle precisely according to your specifications.
The result: minimal maintenance, maximum operational safety, and reliable performance—precisely tailored to your industry, whether machine tool construction, automation, medical technology, or special-purpose machinery.

From the initial idea to mass production

Our team supports you from the initial design stage through the selection of the optimal manufacturing process to the customized design of the screw configuration. The result is not a standard component, but a solution that integrates seamlessly into your system and meets your requirements.
