Our new addition in Hornberg-Niederwasser
Some construction projects take time. In our case, it took just under 10 years—from the initial planning to the opening. Our new extension in Hornberg-Niederwasser has been operational since early May 2026. And with that, an idea we first sketched out on paper back in 2016 has become a reality.
A plan that was a long time coming
Anyone who wants to consistently organize production into lines must think ahead—and create spaces that support this new approach. That was precisely the starting point. As we began redesigning our production lines, it quickly became clear that quality assurance and shipping needed their own dedicated spaces. The addition was already part of the plan back then.
What followed was a long battle to obtain a building permit. It took so long that the quality assurance and shipping departments had to work for years in cramped, makeshift spaces—it worked, but it was far from the ideal situation.
We are all the more pleased that we have finally been able to take this step.
What the expansion actually achieves
The two-story addition to Plant 1 covers 500 square meters, providing much-needed space for quality assurance, shipping, and offices for tool distribution, which are now housed in areas specifically designed for these purposes.
The result is not just more space; above all, it is a clearer structure along the production lines. Pathways are shorter, and processes are more streamlined. What may sound like a minor optimization in theory makes a noticeable difference in everyday operations: less effort, less friction, and greater reliability.
Our plant in Hornberg-Niederwasser now covers a total of 3,488 square meters, 7,800 of which are dedicated to production.

Nearly 90 years—and still growing
Kammerer Gewindetechnik looks back on a history spanning nearly 90 years. What began in Triberg has been based in Hornberg-Niederwasser since 2002—with approximately 150 employees today and a range of services that encompasses all manufacturing processes for custom ball screws, trapezoidal screws, and telescopic screws.
Our products are used worldwide: in machine tool manufacturing, medical technology, material handling automation, robotics, and the automotive sector—anywhere where precise linear motion is essential.
