Coil spring covers protect shafts, spindles, columns, and screws from contamination and damage while also reducing the risk of accidents in this area. They can be used on all machining and non-machining machines. Made of high-quality, hardened spring strip steel, they offer optimal properties thanks to their special manufacturing method (cold forming). Different strip widths ensure flawless operation for various stroke lengths, thereby achieving an excellent seal between the individual coils in any position. Simple centering flanges are sufficient to hold the springs in place, but they must allow for the rotational movements of the springs.
For vertical installation, it is recommended to mount the larger diameter facing upward; for horizontal use, mount it in the direction of chip flow.
Maintenance is not necessary; however, depending on the degree of contamination, it is recommended to clean the unit and then apply a light film of oil.
